| What things have gone wrong with the car? | Small trunk with uneven bottom. Wind noise is too obvious at high speed. Low RPM accelaration is slow and noisy (1st gear). Takes a lot of involvement in driving: having to warm up before putting too much pressure on the turbo and to cool down before shutting engine off. Some annoying noise comes up from time to time. One known rattling is the catalytic convertor, another unsure whistling nosie might come from the fuel pump at light throttle. | |
| General comments? | After all, it is copied from a rally car and it serves as one too. Great balance between performance and every day driving. If a new Galant VR4 model were avaliable at the dealer I would have not hesitated getting one. However, selling only 3000 in US before discontinuation must have meant that Mitsubishi is not confident to use this model to compete on the market. Put the new GVR4 back in US and give Audi Quattro a good run. | |
