| What things have gone wrong with the car? | Steering wheel shakes at 60+ mph, bad brakes, transmission sometimes shifts late, speaker blew out very easily, minor electrical problems, bad resale value. | |
| General comments? | I have enjoyed owning the Galant, except for a few problems mentioned above. My biggest complaint is with Mitsubishi for the nonstop rebates and special deals on new Galants. They have flooded the market with these things and resale is very bad. My Galant has lost half its value in two years. I haven't had any major problems with this car, it looks great and is fun to drive, but I just can't rate it higher than 3 stars. It beats a GM any day, but I would recommend a Nissan, Toyota, or Honda due to reliability and resale value. | |
| Previous car | Nissan Maxima - no comparison, the Maxima feels solid, drives smoothly with precision, provides more power, reliability is excellent, and resale is great. |
