| What things have gone wrong with the car? | it's not a bmw m5 | |
| General comments? | i bought a 2001 gtz about 2 months ago. i am very happy with the car. after driving an suv for a few years i feel like i am driving a bmw. the size is nice, not too big, not too small. the trunk size is good, not too big, not... the gtz comes with the sporty supsension and it feels good to me. i haven't driven any of the other galant models so i don't know how they compare. i am certainly able to take turns faster than in my isuzu rodeo, but what sedan can't. the engine feels plenty powerful. it won't exactly burn rubber, but it will move quite quick. especially accelerating to freeway speed or passing at speed. the gearing seems to be designed for acceleration at higher speeds, at least not from 0. the transmission is a little slow at downshifting sometimes, at least it would be nice if it were quicker when you floor the accelerator. but something one, at least i, can live with. it would be nice if a v6 model was available with a manual transmission, but it isn't. all around a great car for the price. and if you want a v6 for less you can always buy the es with a v6 and fewer options. the gtz has pretty much everything. leather, moon | |
