| Model | VR V6 | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | The suspension requires a bit more attention after 3 years when things are starting to wear out. Weak aftermarket support, simply looking for performance parts for this car is one hell of a task! Carpeting and door weather guards get damaged easily. Few cupholders. Very hard to change spark plugs. Very intricate and complex engine, few shops know to fix. A little high fuel consumption, but I guess if you have a V6 under the hood you would not compare that to a 4 banger Civic. | | |

As far as handling is concerned you may upgrade the suspension with Eibach springs for sharper handling, otherwise if you want a nice soft ride better leave the suspension stock, it's the best. This car could very well out perform it's Japanese counterparts in the performance department. For it's price it's hard to beat, in stock trim few of it's counterparts could hardly keep up with it, with tweaking you would unleash it's true potential. Others may be more refined and are more generous in accomodation but the Galant is certainly for the spirited driver in us with practicality in mind. | | Previous car | Camry LE V6 - The camry has better seating accomodation, practically the same power but reving the engine of the Galant is much more fun.
